Q: Why should I prefer your system, I order three times a year a cleaning team that does the work for me.

A: In order to get the best out of the solar panels, you must make sure they are always clean, we are in the State of Israel, we are blessed with the sun most of the year and in order for you, to be able to earn the maximum amount of money from the panels, you must make sure they are always clean, we often experience sandstorms and dust, air pollution, bird droppings and other dirt factors that prevent the panels from getting the best out of them, therefore it is important to wash the panels often, when it is recommended 3 times a week.

Besides, when you hire a cleaning crew, you are responsible if the worker falls off the roof or gets electrocuted from working with water and electricity and high voltage. Therefore, we recommend our system based on special sprinklers, there is no promenade on the roof, there are no risks of working at height or working with water and electricity.

 


 

Q: I saw a similar sprinkler system at a competitor, why would I prefer you over him?

A: Our sprinklers are dedicated sprinklers for washing and cleaning solar panels, a patent developed by the company, other companies use sprinklers for garden irrigation (watering!!! not washing, not cleaning), (for example - Naan sprinklers), which are not suitable for washing Solar panels and do not wash 100% of the panel surface. These sprinklers sprinkle the water, but do not wash, do not clean, do not sweep up the dirt/dust/bird droppings, in addition the simple sprinklers are not heat resistant during the day (up to 80 degrees) when they are glued to the panels and then they melt. The simple sprinklers that other companies install sit on a bracket that disintegrates as a result of the pressure of the water flow and then the sprinkler moves and falls. In addition, the competitors also install sprinklers at the bottom of the panel and in fact use twice as much water, which also means that additional pipes are used. Competitors' systems do not use a salt controller, a water softener and the panels get limescale and in a short time the panel turns white and the output drops a lot, not so with us, when we commit to a maximum water hardness level of 10 PPM. In addition, other competing companies also send their employees to clean manually, because again, their system does not do the job.

Q: I installed a solar panel system that I paid a fortune for, why should I invest more in your system?

A: First of all, we are glad that you invested in the system while thinking about environmental quality and green energy/renewable energy. However, in order for you to get the best out of the panels, it is necessary to maintain, wash and clean the solar panels. Panels that are not clean, lose up to 30% of their output due to the dirt. So that with our system, the panels will produce the maximum amount of electricity they can and you can rest assured that you will get the maximum amount of money from the panels.

Q: How many times should the system work in order to produce the best results?

A: It depends on the environmental climate and the season. In average field conditions, three times a week is enough, from experience with our customers who saw amazing results from the first wash, they even decided to wash every day!

Q: What is the amount of water that the system consumes per sprinkler per wash?

A: Washing takes about 45 seconds, each sprinkler sprays about 2 liters of water per wash.

Q: At what pressure does the water spray on the panel?

 

A: Normal domestic pressure - high pressure can damage the panel.

 

 

 

Q: What is the recommended working time? What is the recommended washing time for the operation of the cleaning system?

A: The recommended time is early in the morning between 5 and 6 together with the dew and in fact already gives an initial splash of water, softens the dirt and saves on the consumption of washing with water.

Q: Can you explain the washing method?

A: Our system is very professional and super smart. The washing is done at 5-6 in the morning along with the dew. Each line (string) gets its own washing program. The system actually also creates dew by having the first row start a 15 second wash to soften the dust/dirt and then move to the next row for a 15 second wash and so on for all the rows and then return to the first row to continue washing for another 30 seconds - 40 seconds depending on the program. After many studies and a field trial, we realized that this is the best method for the panel to be free of dirt and dust.

Q: How soon will I see an improvement in productivity/better results?

A: Starting with the first wash. 

Q: Is your system also intended for home systems on tiled roofs / flat roofs?​

A: From the beginning, our systems are intended for the large commercial farms, but nevertheless we saw that there is a considerable market segment of home systems and for that we have a solution in the form of an assembly kit that includes all the parts that the owner of the system or someone on his behalf can install. This kit includes parts such as our special sprinklers, piping, flush controller, water softener, pump, patent against bird resistance and more at an affordable and attractive price...), for systems on a flat roof you can also add our installation.

Q: I have a solar tracking system (trackers), is your cleaning solution suitable?

A: Absolutely yes, the system is already installed on several systems and solar farms, including tracking systems - trackers, and works flawlessly.

 

Q: I flew abroad for two weeks, how will I know if the cleaning system worked?

A: We use a highly sophisticated controller, with which you can receive a report to your cell phone by SMS  that a wash has taken place, and through a dedicated application (in Hebrew) you can view graphs and full statistics about the wash system.

 

Q: The panel system I have is located in an area without wired/wireless internet, will I still be able to connect remotely and control the system?

A: The system is independent and can operate in an area without internet. If you want to control the controller remotely, you can install a router with a SIM and fixed IP and connect with a dedicated application. In systems with a Motorola controller, you can receive an indication by connecting directly to the controller or contacting a Motorola service center.

Q: I noticed that some of my panels are very dirty and some are less dirty. Do all the panels go through the exact same wash?

A: One of the things that makes our system unique is its flexibility and dynamism. Each row of cells gets its own program and is washed separately, if for example the panels in the last row are dirtier because it is close to the edge of the roof and there the tractor plows and makes clouds of dust, that row will get its own independent program that suits it, for example more washing time, and in the end the panel will be Clean and shiny.

Q: In a period of rain, is it necessary to wash? Is it possible to stop or change the washing program?

A: Rain washes the panels, but how much rain have we had in the country? The rains are also often accompanied by dust and dirt.

From experience with our customers, during periods of heavy rain some of them still decided to flush the system. In addition, with the smart controller we use, you can set different programs for each season (for example, in the summer the system will work 3 times a week, and in the winter once), if and when on the day it is supposed to be carried out Washing, it's raining, you can disable the system by pressing a button in the app on your cell phone. That is, not to go through each row and stop, but to stop them all immediately with one click of a button. Again, from our experience with our customers, most of them decided to continue with the washing program as usual and not stop the cleaning and rinsing system.

Q: Can I install this system myself? Do you sell a self-assembly kit?

A: Yes, but it is recommended to let us do the installation, based on the experience and knowledge we have gained over the years.

Q: How long does it take to install the system?

A: Depending on the size of the system, an average system of 100 Kotches (250 panels) is an order of magnitude of 2-3 days.

 

Q: What is the warranty period for your system?

A: One/two/three/five/ten years depending on the contract you signed. A system that includes a Motorola controller, you receive an additional, extended warranty on behalf of Motorola - for the entire system! You invested in our system = you got peace of mind for many years.

 

Q: I have an old system of 55 kWh consisting of 220 panels, how will I know if there is a malfunction in a specific sprinkler?

 

 A: Each row of cells gets its own plan, when there is an exception in the amount of water consumed   or a malfunction you will receive a report on the number of the row and so you can see where the problem is.

 

Q: When a fault is discovered in the system, does it stop working?

A: Because we use a very sophisticated controller, the system knows how to detect a fault, stops the operation of the work line and continues on to the next line.

 

 Q: I have a 4 mega farm, I'm considering putting in a robot, how is your system better than robots?

A: A cleaning robot requires a close operator, consumes a lot of electricity, creates a shadow, has moving parts on rails. If a grain of sand gets into the robot it could scratch the panels. The costs of such a robot reach hundreds of thousands of shekels and a lot of money to maintain it. In addition, a robot is only for one row, and a solar farm with a large number of rows, it is a very high expenditure of money.

The best and most cost-effective solution is a cleaning and washing system based on our company's dedicated sprinklers.

As with the "set and forget" method, as soon as you put the sprinklers that we have developed, the washing and cleaning system comes into action, there is no further need to intervene in the system and you have peace of mind.

Q: I have a 4 mega farm, but before I put your system on the whole farm, I want to do a pilot, is that possible?

A: Absolutely yes, you can take a plot / roof of 50 kWh and install our washing and cleaning system and you can compare and see that the system is very clean and the output increases by dozens of percent. Also, we have systems that are already installed and you are welcome to visit one of the systems that are working and get an impression for yourself.

Q: Do you have an antidote for bird droppings?

A: Absolutely yes, we have a bird strike protection patent on the solar panel.
Today we are the only company that provides such a service to our customers. 

 

 

 

Q: My system is in front of a quarry, how often should I flush the system to keep it clean?

A: It is necessary to perform an experiment in the field, based on tests we have performed in the past, it is necessary to wash the system 3 times a day.

Q: What do you put a salt container for?

A: Using the salt, the water goes through a process that turns the water into soft water, removing the calcium and magnesium from the water. This is to prevent scale from accumulating on the solar cells. In addition to this, when the soft water comes into contact with dust or dirt or bird droppings, a chemical process is created that dissolves the dirt and thus washes and cleans the panel.

 

Q: How often should salt be filled in the softener tank?

A: According to the amount of washing, the system consumes 1 kg of salt for every 1 cubic meter of water. A 100 kWh system that is washed 3 times a week, will have to add 100 kg of salt to the tank once a year. It is important to monitor and be careful about this, in order that you don't accumulate scale. 

Q: Other companies use other softening systems while you use a salt-based ion exchange industrial controller, why  ?

A: We tested all types of softening systems and came to the conclusion that the best solution for softening water is by an industrial salt-based ion-exchange controller, this is the best solution for preventing scale and clogging in the pipes. That is why we are the only company in the market that commits to a water hardness level of 10 PPM. In addition, we also thought about the customer's side and the matter of maintenance, the solution of softening salt is the simplest solution from the customer's point of view - when salt is added when necessary into a salt chamber. (You receive an SMS alert when the salt level is low).
It is also possible to integrate additional softening solutions similar to systems in other companies at an attractive and profitable price.

Q: Who operates the system, how do you program it?

A: Our system is extremely simple and you receive guidance from us, as soon as you decide and determine the cleaning and washing programs, the system will work flawlessly. Motorola controller owners also have 24/7 support (in Hebrew) from Motorola.

 

Q: I saw a friend who installed a sprinkler system but not yours, and you still come to wash manually at his place, is this the same with you?

A: Simple irrigation sprinklers like the one your friend installed are not intended for washing and cleaning solar panels, they are intended for watering a section in the garden (they are irrigation sprinklers!!! not washing and cleaning sprinklers), therefore these sprinklers do not do the job properly. Therefore, the same company that installed the sprinklers, as absurd as it is, sends a manual cleaning and washing team and also charges thousands of shekels every year for maintenance!!
Installing an auto system, so why pay for manual washing? Where is the automatic thing here?

In the many tests and field trials we performed, we realized that in order to be effective in cleaning and washing we would have to develop a special sprinkler that meets all the requirements.

The research and development department, together with the quality assurance department, developed a special sprayer that is resistant to any weather and washes and cleans the panel with maximum efficiency so that manual washing is no longer necessary.

Q: I have a 55 kWh system, how long after signing the contract, will the cleaning and washing system from "Ruth Systems for Agriculture" be installed?

Q: My panels are diagonal and inclined, will your system also fit such a solar system?

Q: I live in a high area and in winter we have snow that piles up on the panels, do you have a solution for such a case?​

A: Absolutely yes, the system works for you on two levels - using the soft water (salt), this situation actually melts the snow.
In addition, the sprinklers are so strong that they can also be used as a snow guard. The sprinklers we developed are resistant to any weather, in difficult field conditions and extreme situations.

 

 

Q: I live in Arava and we have water shortage problems. What can your system manifest itself in?

A: Our system is very economical with water, the washing time is in the early morning together with the dew - which actually gives an initial splash of water and softens the dirt and dust and saves water. With the sophisticated controller we use, we define cleaning and washing programs at the level of seconds. The washing time of each sprinkler is on average 45 seconds and sprinkles about 2.5 liters. That means in an average system of 55 kWh (130 panels), we will use approximately 300 - 350 liters in each wash. Again, the system is very dynamic and you can easily change the washing programs and shorten the washing time and thus save even more water. In fact, you have full control over The amount of water consumed in each wash. 

 

Q: What is the difference between the "Tal" washing system and the "Tamir" washing system and the Lotus washing system?

 

A: In the "Tal" washing system as part of the whole system, we use a highly sophisticated controller - Motorola Scada. This cattle is intended for the big farms. Washing system "Tamir" is intended for systems up to 300 kWh. In both types of washing systems, we use the exact same sprinklers. In the Lotus system, the method of softening the water is based on electronic technology. The Lotus system is the most cost-effective system for the small commercial systems up to 200 kutch.

Q: I have a 55 kWh system on a roof and another 100 kWh system on an adjacent roof. Is it possible to combine the washing systems?

A: It is necessary to see the distance between the roofs in the field and make the necessary adjustments, but there is definitely a possibility to combine the washing and cleaning systems, when it is possible to use one controller and one softening system, which significantly lowers the costs.   

Q: I currently have 55 kWh and I am on my way to add another 55 kWh nearby, will I need two separate washing systems?

A: No, after installation on a 55 kWh system, we will be able to use the same controller and softening system, which will reduce costs in the future installation.

Q: I have a 50 kWh system, after installing the automatic solar system made by Ruth Agricultural Systems Ltd., how much will it cost me to flush the system?
 

A: About NIS 5, depending on how much you pay the water supplier. For farmers, the cost of washing will cost 1 NIS for a 50 kWh system, yes 1 NIS for the entire system... Therefore, we see that farmers wash every day, because the cost is very low.

Q: How much water does the system consume?


A: Each sprinkler sprays about 2.5 liters per minute, assuming you put one sprinkler on every one panel, in a system of 200 panels, you will use half a cube in each wash.

Q: I installed a 50 Kutch system in 2010 and my friend installed a 50 Kutch system in 2020. We both get different rates. Will the cost of setting up an auto cleaning and washing system be different/same for both of us?

A: A system of 50 Kotches from 10 years ago consists of 200 panels, while a system of 50 Kotches in 2020, consists of 130 panels. In both systems, the same core parts are used (flushing controller, salt softener, pump, water meter, sprinklers, pipes, faucets) where the difference is only in the amount of sprinklers, the amount of pipes and faucets. These parts have a relatively low cost, so the cost for both systems will be very similar. It is necessary to see a drawing plan for the placement of the panels on the roof and pictures of the system in order to give a budget price estimate.

Q: Broadly speaking, what makes your system unique compared to other cleaning systems?

A: We use the highest quality parts that meet all standards. Our patented sprinkler is made of one extremely rigid casting, the sprinkler is weather resistant and extremely reliable. Use an ion exchange industrial softening tank to prevent scale. Q: Is there a monthly fee? annual?

Q: Is it possible to purchase your sprinklers in the store?

A: No, our sprinklers are the fruit of our development, our patent and are not off the shelf products. There is an option to purchase them through us (min. 100 units).

Q: Why don't you publish a price list on the website?

A: Just as there is no identical solar system, there is no standard cleaning system, but one designed and programmed specifically according to the topography of the solar system and the topology of the area. In order to give an accurate price for each solar system, the logistics involved in setting up the system must be checked in the field. The angle of the panels/slope of the panels, the number of panels, the number of rows, the length of the system must be seen, this is so that we know how many sprinklers to use and what length of pipes we will use, which pump is suitable, how many atmospheres to raise. It is possible to give a price estimate according to the plan, the drawing of the placement of the panels on the roof/ground + the pictures of the system.

Q: Who gives me the warranty for the product?

Q: What happens after a year in terms of warranty?

A: Since there is no need for maintenance and the system is very reliable, and the sprinklers are designed to last for decades, there is no need for service and support, so we do not charge an additional fee. Our customers have seen that there is no need for maintenance and the system works perfectly, therefore there is no need to pay extra for warranty and service. Of course, for those who would like an extended warranty, there is an option to purchase, when you can get an on-call service.
